FBD Insurance Rás Gets All - Clear Result
By
Jun 6, 2006, 15:38

Tests for the use of prohibited substances carried out during the recent FBD Insurance RÁS 8 Day International Cycle Race have all been declared negative. The thirty-two anti-doping tests carried out by the world controlling body, Union Cycliste Internationale, involved riders from most of the nine countries that competed in the race. Stage winners, race leaders on the day and riders selected at random were tested.

Professional teams from Norway, Poland, Australia, Germany, Britain, Canada, USA and Belgium/Ireland participated with the Irish national team, British regional and Irish county teams.

Announcing the results Race Organiser, Dermot Dignam, complimented the riders for a keenly contested, sporting race.

The race is sponsored by FBD Insurance and is included on the Union Cycliste Internationale Continental Calendar.

The 2007 FBD Insurance RÁS race will take place from 20th to 27th May.
