Jun 1, 2022, 00:01
Cáirde Rás Tailteann is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with Bective Stud as the sponsor of the highly competitive, daily county rider's classification during the 2022 race.
This is a classification that has animated editions of An Rás now for many years and is one of the most fiercely contested classification prizes of the event.
Race Director Gerard Campbell on announcing this new collaboration commented “Cáirde Rás Tailteann is delighted that Bective Stud have chosen to align itself with An Rás Tailteann 2022 and sponsor the county rider classification”. He added “in some ways An Rás Tailteann 2022 shares a similar evolution with Bective Stud, both having surmounted multiple challenges in recent years in the pursuit of re-establishing themselves. Of course, Bective Stud also strives for and promotes similar sporting heritage and values, striving for excellence in equestrian sport in particular just as we endeavour to do in our sport”
Cáirde Rás Tailteann are very proud that this renowned Meath based firm with its international sporting dimension and local roots has decided to support An Rás Tailteann as it emerges again after its hiatus.
Bective Stud is of course imminently well known in equestrian circles and for its quality accommodation and facilities offerings.
Located in Balgil, Navan, Co. Meath, Bective Stud is owned by the Moran family who have worked tirelessly since 2016 to restore it back to its former glory and beauty. Repurposing the courtyard stables into modern accommodation offering to complement its Equestrian Centre and associated facilities. Today the stables are proud to house some of Ireland’s most famous thoroughbred racehorses as residents.
Jayde Massey for Bective Stud echoed the comments of race director Ger Campbell, commenting, “we are keenly aware of the efforts of this group has made in the last few years to put this event back on the road. We at Bective Stud see many parallels with an Rás Tailteann and are proud to support its resurgence in 2022”
